The Pope's Visit:

Dunwoodie: 25,000 people
Yankee Satdium: packed

Near Dunwoodie, getting off the buses:

Look at all of those people, waiting for the shuttles to go to Dunwoodie:

Three seminarians, in a candid shot:
(Nicht schießen!)

The seminary in New York:
More seminarians, these are from Raleigh, up front at the stage, waiting for the Pope:
Another candid Raleigh seminarian photo:
From the back of the seminary, looking over the field with the food, to the field with the stage:
more people:

more people:
and the stage, with a gospel choir singing, one of many performers during the 6 hour wait for the Pope:

Security was high, snipers on both sides of the stage, setting up in full view, with big guns (not in the picture unfortunately:
And it's Moe Rocka, a Comedy Central Catholic personality, at the Pope's event:
The bishops arriving near the stage. Ahhh...the Pope is near!!:
Here, we have to wait for more pics to come in.
But this is Sunday at Yankee stadium, before the Pope arrives:

"Viva el Papa!!!!!!"
"Viva"

"Papa"

"Viva"

wait, that's not him....

"Papa!"

procession:
at the altar:
And the snipers are back, walking right next to the seminarians' section...

...and up on the roof:

fuller view:

priests arriving for the Eucharistic Prayer and Consecration, each holding a paten of hosts:

Consecration:

It's like "where's Waldo," look for the priests:

After a flawless distribution of Communion:

and the camera dies again, but not after catching these great shots.
I hope top have some more soon.
Pax Christi tecum.

Hey man is that Chris Reihl in one of those photos? I like the one of Buckler. You might want to delete the comment left by whoever "gardami" is - that link sends you to some site that immediately starts trying to download stuff to your pc. Hope you're doing well man!
